History Repeats Itself . . .

This is Brenna's handiwork (is that the word?). She lined up all of these stuffed animals on a chair and sat down on the floor next to them. I asked what she was doing, and she said "We're watching a movie". Does this story seem familiar to anyone else?

Idiot!

I was driving down Goosenest (long, winding 2-lane road between my house and just about anywhere else) and I drove up behind this guy on a bike. Not unusual. Lots of people bike around here. But this guy was riding in the smack-dab middle of the road, and he was sort of swerving around. As I got closer I could tell that he wasn't holding on to the handlebars. I personally never learned to ride a bike that way, but I know people who could do it. This guy wasn't some teenager showing off to his friends, though. He was at least my age, maybe older. So why was he doing something so unsafe? I was stuck behind him for a few minutes until the road widened. When I was finally able to pass him I glanced over and everything became clear to me. He was TEXTING WHILE RIDING HIS BIKE! What a moron! No offense to anyone who does this, but what a bad idea!

Three Teeth

Here is our boy, showing off all 3 of his handsome little teeth. The one on the bottom is just barely poking through. He is just getting so big!

Cursed!

Yesterday I decided to run to Wal-Mart, since I had the chance to do it with no kids. I drove all the way there (about 15 minutes) before I realized that I'd left my wallet in the swim bag on the kitchen counter. bummer!!! So I drove all the way home. By then I no longer wanted to shop so I just stayed home. Later that evening James wanted to take a drive and he asked me if I had any errands he could run. I gave him my Wal-Mart shopping list and sent him on his way. He was back 10 minutes later. Yep. He got down the hill and realized that his wallet was in the other car. At least he didn't get all the way to the store before he figured it out. Still, both of us in one day. What are the chances?

Take Me With You!!!

We were packing for a sleepover at Grammy's house. Dash jumped in the suitcase and wouldn't get out. He hates it when we leave him, I guess.

Blake's Bling

Okay, I know when Blake is about 9 he's going to see this blog post and just die of embarassment, but for right now he's too young to know the difference. The kids (Brenna in particular) love dressing him up. Here are some of the items he's been forced to wear.
I think Blake kind of liked the shiny necklace.
This is a princess dress-up skirt, which Brenna placed on his head.
Taylie made this Dr. Seuss-style hat. It seems to be making Blake a bit nervous.
He has no problems with the happy birthday crown, though. What a good sport he is!

Bathtime

Blake Man loves his bath!!! I usually throw him in when I'm bathing Brenna. He kicks and splashes the whole time he's in the water, and the soap and shampoo part doesn't bother him at all. Brenna's favorite part is that she gets to choose which hooded towel Blake will use. In this picture he's a crocodile. Brenna is obviously the Elephant.
