James bought a boat about 3 months ago, and we've been having a blast on it ever since. Even Blake loves it! (He's the king of the world!)We often take friends out on the boat, but for some reason I don't take pictures of them. Next time.
Ethan's favorite thing is the wake board. He got up on his first try (all the adults who've tried needed at least 2 tries) and right away he started trying to do tricks. He can't get over the wake yet, probably because he's so light (that's also probably why he gets up so easily) but he's very proud of his 360, especially since he's the only one who can pull it off. What talent! Video 1 is Ethan getting up and strapped in, and video 2 is of the tricks.

A Few June Pictures

These are some of the fun things we did in June:
The kids baked a cake for James's birthday. I really did make them do almost all the work. It's good for them, and they did a great job!
Do you have to blow out all the candles in one breath in order to get your wish? 'Cause I think James is getting too old for that. Too many candles.
Here are Ethan and Taylie (and Dash) in the little city parade. It's a terrible picture, but it's the best one I got. They were just moving too fast.
Brenna rode on the float for her preschool. The words say "A Decade of Graduates". The teacher invited every child who ever attended her preschool to be on the float. I really didn't think she'd get any teenagers who wanted to ride on a preschool float, but I was surprised. Brenna is really going to miss Miss Jennie.
My 2 cute boys out for a walk. What a good big brother Ethan is!
And finally . . . here is a picture of one of Blake's awesome shoulder dimples. He's had them since birth, but I finally got a picture. Adorable, right?

Swimming Lessons

The kids just finished a 2-week session of swimming lessons. The lessons are taught at the house down the street, which is really nice. Because of some scheduling conflicts, I signed them up for semi-private lessons. It was just my 3 kids and the teacher.
I was a little bit nervous about Brenna having a male teacher because sometimes she's funny about that kind of thing, but he's a fantastic teacher and Brenna just loved him!
On the last day of class, the kids pass everything off and then they get to play on the waterslide and the diving board. They really looked forward to having the slide to themselves.
Brenna did get brave enough to slide down alone (into the teacher's arms) but I had to be at the top to help her get started, so I couldn't get any pictures of it. Ditto with the diving board.
Even on a water slide, Taylie manages to pose for the camera!
And on the diving board.
Awww, what cute little swimmers!
