Grateful

A little while ago I was vacuuming (it has to happen occasionally, right?). When I was finished, Brenna came up to me and said "Mom, her doesn't like it". 'Her' is Blake. Pronouns are hard. Anyway, I went to check on Blake. He was crying. He had throw-up ALL over the front of his clothes, and sitting there on his chest was a grape. I asked Brenna what happened. She eventually was able to communicate that she had put the grape in his mouth. I once did the Heimlich Manouver on a choking person, and she threw up everywhere when the marble came out of her throat. So I think Blake choked on that grape. Something happened to dislodge the grape, he threw up, and he's completely fine. But it so easily could have had a different ending. I feel like someone was watching out for my baby today, and I am so so so grateful!!!
The moral of the story: Teach your toddlers the importance of NOT feeding the baby, keep grapes out of reach, and NEVER vacuum!!!
